‘Don't lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality.’
~Ralph Marston
For me, it’s not the expectations that others have of me, it’s the expectations that I have of myself. I am harder on myself than everyone could possibly ever be on me. I used to think that I need to lower my expectations to keep from being disappointed. I’ve changed my thinking. I have learned that I should keep grinding until I achieve my goals. It’s not the expectation that is so disappointing. The disappointment comes from knowing I could’ve done better to meet the expectations of myself an others.

Let's hear your thoughts...
