Today, I woke up, got dressed, dropped the boy off at school, and went to work. Everything seemed to be going well and then BAM! Another layoff! It's only been 10 months since I was laid off from The Virginian-Pilot, but this company obviously didn't care about that. Today, I learned that I was expendable to the company that I worked for. I was not valued the way that I deserved to be valued. I also realized that the CFO/VP and the Controller were leaving the company...both within a week of each other. Something doesn't seem right with that, so I'm sure this is a good thing for me.

I will be completely honest and say that I was not happy with that company, so this is a blessing. When God closes one door, another one will be opened and it's usually a door that leads to bigger and better things. I'm praying that my blessing comes sooner, than later and I'm sure it will.
